Councillor John Wilson Re-Elected Deputy Mayor for Third Term
COUNCILLOR JOHN WILSON RE-ELECTED
DEPUTY MAYOR FOR THIRD TERM
Nambucca Valley Council, at its Ordinary Meeting held 24 September 2020, held its annual election for the important role of Deputy Mayor. The incumbent, Councillor John Wilson, was re-elected unopposed for a third consecutive term as Deputy Mayor.
Mayor of Nambucca Valley Council, Councillor Rhonda Hoban, OAM said Councillor Wilson provided great support to her over the last two years and was looking forward to working with him again during the ensuing term which ends at the next general election in September 2021.
“The coming year is of great importance to the Nambucca Valley as we recover from natural disasters and a pandemic and continue with our own local economic stimulus measures such as the Valla Urban Growth Area, Nambucca Heads V-Wall upgrade, Macksville Aquatic Centre improvements, Nambucca Library Upgrade and various other road, bridge, path paving and playground infrastructure works.”
“Having stability at the political level is essential if we are to complete these stimulus measures efficiently and recover from this recession. I would like to thank my fellow Councillors for unanimously endorsing Councillor Wilson as the Deputy Mayor,” concluded Mayor Hoban.
