Boulton's Crossing - Gumma Reserve


Gumma Reserve is currently identified as a primitive and popular campground with independent cell toilets, located approximately 5.7km east of Macksville and can be accessed via Gumma Road. 

A section of the access road is unsealed and can be affected by inclement weather resulting in the isolation of the Reserve during periods of flooding.  Nambucca Valley Council is the Reserve Manager and are progressively improving the facilities as the budget permits.

Site availability has been reduced to comply with COVID-19 social distancing guidelines and only limited campsites are available.


We do not take reservations.  However, you may check site availability by contacting Council’s Caretaker, Heyden, between 8am and 12 noon daily on 0429 366 456Please note that calls made outside these hours will not be answered or returned.

What should I do if I feel unwell on arrival or during my stay at Gumma Reserve?

Please get tested immediately at the COVID-19 drive through testing site located at the old Macksville Hospital site in Boundary Street, Macksville and return home as soon as possible.  Isolation is mandatory until you receive your test results.

All Year Fees Families: $25 per night (up to 4 people)
Children must be between the ages of 4 and 15
$7 per extra child per day
Off Season Nightly   $  15.00 - 1 person per night
    $  20.00 - 2 people per night
    $    8.00 each additional person - Under 4yrs free
*On Season Nightly   $  20.00 - 1 person per night
    $  25.00 - 2 people per night
    $    8.00 each additional person - Under 4yrs free

“With funding support from the Transport for NSW, the RMS and Council recent improvements were completed at Gumma Reserve. The improvements largely funded under the Boating Now Program included a new amenities, boat ramp improvements, Bank stabilisation and access improvements  for small vessels and passive craft.

Many locals and visitors to the Valley have been enjoying the new space and facilities which were completed prior to the Christmas holidays.“
