Black Spot Program - Scotts Head Road

Council has secured funding from Federal Government under the ‘Australian Government Black Spot Program’ for seven sites along Scotts Head Road, Way Way that have been identified as having a record of casualty crashes or as potential crash locations. The purpose of the funding is to reduce the social and economic costs caused by road trauma, by improving the physical condition of the identified sites.

To finalise the planning phase for these upcoming works pavement testing will be undertaken within the road corridor on all seven sites identified.

The testing will occur on 2October 2024 between 7:30am and 4:30pm, weather permitting. Traffic control will in place during the works and short commuter delays are expected under ‘stop and slow’ traffic management.
