Nambucca Valley Relief Fund
Support the local community and ensure your donated money stays in the Nambucca Valley. You can make a difference.
Many wonderful people are asking…what is the best way to help those affected by disaster?
The best way to help our impacted communities is to donate money
Please do not donate physical goods such as toys, furniture and clothes at this time. They are usually not needed and fill up community spaces and take volunteers away from other important tasks. If you have goods to donate, consider having a garage sale and donating the proceeds instead.
- Money donated stays in the Nambucca Valley
- Your money will directly assist local families
- Your money won't be spent on administration or fees

Background
The impacts of the devastation caused by the Kian Road bushfire in 2019, Covid-19 from 2020 and the flood and storm event of March 2021 led Nambucca Valley Council to consider the assistance that can be provided to impacted residents following disasters. Council resolved (Council meeting 13 May 2021, Res: 186/21) to establish a permanent fund that could be activated in times of disaster and need and where money could be donated that would be spent locally, assisting the Nambucca Valley.
As a result, Council has established the Nambucca Valley Relief Fund – a fund guided by the Australian Taxation Office's Deductible Gift Recipient Status under the Australian Necessitous Circumstances Fund criteria (adopted and active from Council meeting 12 August 2021, Res: 320/21).
Council hopes the Fund will help deliver vital financial support in times of need for our Valley.
