Post ex Tropical Cycle Alfred - Update on Road Network
Published on 12 March 2025
Now that Tropical Cyclone Alfred has passed, Council teams are out inspecting roads and other assets for damage.
While the impact was less severe than expected, there is still some damage across our network.
Six inspection teams have been assessing the affected areas. Once their assessments are complete, we will prioritize repairs to ensure our roads are safe.
Our maintenance crews have already started work in the Taylors Arm and Missabotti areas. Additional crews are also out across the Council area clearing drains, filling potholes, and repairing pavement.
If you've noticed any damage, please let us know by downloading Council’s Antenno App and submitting photos directly through the app.
While we work hard to get the road network up and running please remember:
- Drive with caution.
- Never drive through floodwaters.
